Butt Augmentation With Implants

Ever had the problem that no matter what you do exercise-wise, you can’t increase the size of your butt? You’re lean, but that booty continues to look flat. If you do not have fat to transfer to the buttocks, then the ideal solution for butt augmentation may be butt implants.

Sometimes exercising hard or working out with weights is just not enough. Artificial implants placed in the buttocks (most commonly, cohesive silicone gel or solid silicone) can help improve the shape and size of your buttocks for a fuller looking butt.

The buttock augmentation procedure of adding butt implants is common, but there are a few aspects that you should be aware of. Patients choosing to get buttock implants should know what to expect before, during, and after the procedure.

Consultation

First, your plastic surgeon will first evaluate the shape of your buttocks. In order to do so, the cheeks are anatomically divided into the upper, the mid, and the lower section. The shape of each area will determine the gluteal implant recommended by your doctor. The aim is to improve the overall shape of the rear end.

While consulting with your plastic surgeon regarding your butt implants, you will be provided with a number of options for your buttock augmentation. You’ll decide on your preferred shape, filling, and texture following the recommendations of your plastic surgeon. Most often, women opt for round, smooth, and solid silicone butt implants.

Selecting the right kind of buttock implant is important. All doctors prefer the solid implant, because there is no risk of it rupturing and spilling.Once the butt implant has been decided on, the next task is to decide on the placement of the buttock implants: Dr. Salama typically places the implant below the muscle. This technique tends to provide better results. The location of incision will be adjacent to the sacrum, where the butt cheeks begin, making a vertical incision towards the buttock lines.Typically, this butt augmentation procedure is done under general anesthesia as it provides the patient the most comfortable experience.

The Procedure

This type of butt augmentation procedure can take about three hours to complete. Patients will need to lie face down throughout the butt implants surgery. First, anesthesia will be administered. Following this, the incision is carefully made, and a pocket is created for the implant in the tissue of the buttocks. The butt implant is inserted and placed appropriately. The incisions are then stitched up. The process is duplicated for the other butt cheek.

Recovery

After the buttock implants surgery, you will have to wear a post-surgical support garment for a couple of weeks. The elastic garment will promote faster healing of the skin and the augmented buttocks will get proper support. Post-operative swelling and bruising are normal parts of the buttock augmentation process. Wearing an elastic garment will cause these issues to resolve much sooner.

Your buttocks will appear enhanced as soon as the butt implants surgery is complete. All the swelling will go away in a couple of months, and after this period, you will be able to see your final results. The buttock implants take some time to settle down to their normal position. There may be temporary numbness in the region and other sensation changes may also be felt.
