This 30-year-old woman had a Brazilian butt lift (BBL) with Dr. Moises Salama. Fat was removed with liposuction of the abdomen, flanks and back, then purified and transferred to the buttocks, 1,150 cc per side, to add volume and shape while slimming the waist.

Because a BBL uses the patient's own fat, it reshapes two areas at once: the abdomen, flanks and back become slimmer, and the fat transferred to the buttocks (1,150 cc per side) adds volume and shape. Not all of the transferred fat survives, so the result settles over the first few months.

The 3 photo sets show the back, angled and side views before surgery and after recovery. When you compare them, look at the added projection and roundness of the buttocks, the curve from waist to hips, and the slimmer waist, flanks and back where the fat was taken.

Her goal was a fuller, rounder buttock with a narrower waist. Slimming the abdomen, flanks and back is as important as the fat we add, because the curve comes from both.
