This 42-year-old woman had a Brazilian butt lift (BBL) with Dr. Moises Salama. Fat was removed with liposuction of the abdomen, flanks, back, upper arms and front of the armpits, then purified and transferred to the buttocks, 900 cc per side, to add volume and shape while slimming the waist.

Because a BBL uses the patient's own fat, it reshapes two areas at once: the abdomen, flanks, back, upper arms and front of the armpits become slimmer, and the fat transferred to the buttocks (900 cc per side) adds volume and shape. Not all of the transferred fat survives, so the result settles over the first few months.

The 3 photo sets show the back, angled and side views before surgery and after recovery. When you compare them, look at the added projection and roundness of the buttocks, the curve from waist to hips, and the slimmer waist, flanks and back where the fat was taken.
