This 47-year-old woman had a Brazilian butt lift (BBL) and J-Plasma® (Renuvion®) skin tightening with Dr. Moises Salama. Fat was removed with liposuction of the abdomen, flanks, back, upper arms and inner thighs, then purified and transferred to the buttocks, 750 cc per side, to add volume and shape while slimming the waist. J-Plasma® (Renuvion®) uses helium plasma energy under the skin to help tighten it. This was a second-round procedure to refine an earlier result.

Because a BBL uses the patient's own fat, it reshapes two areas at once: the abdomen, flanks, back, upper arms and inner thighs become slimmer, and the fat transferred to the buttocks (750 cc per side) adds volume and shape. Not all of the transferred fat survives, so the result settles over the first few months. This was a second-round (revision) procedure.

These front, angled and side views were taken before surgery and again after recovery. Pay attention to the added projection and roundness of the buttocks, the curve from waist to hips, and the slimmer waist, flanks and back where the fat was taken.

A second-round BBL is about refining, not starting over. We added volume where it was needed and used J-Plasma to tighten the skin after liposuction.
